Ashgrove Netball Club

We sponsor two teams within the club. This sponsorship will provide drink bottles for all the team members and Coaches, top up voucher prizes for each team each week for best / most improved player,  phone prizes for fundraisers and other assistance the club may need during the course of the season.

Canterbury Chamber of Commerce

We have a partnership with the Canterbury Employers Chamber of Commerce sponsoring prizes at Table Top events and the Chamber’s Annual Golf day. 

CRT Co-Operative

We have a close relationship with CRT  supporting field days and their sell out, ladies nights.

Christchurch Off-Road Motorcycle Club

We have a major sponsorship programme with the Christchurch Off-road Motorcycle Club  Two  recipients each year (as selected by the club). One male and one female, receive mentoring and training as outlined below.  The winning recipients must also undertake a number of tasks to assist the Club in organising and running events. The sponsorship includes gym membership, youth mentoring including leadership skills, communication and speaking skills, racing skills training with Performance MX coaching and the supply of a mobile phone. Our support also includes race day sponsorship and phone prizes for races.

Our People

Deane Kingan - Managing Director

Deane Kingan is the Managing Director and major shareholder in the Canterbury Telecom Stores. Deane has been in the Telecommunications industry for over 18 years and has a wealth of industry experience. Deane is also the Chairman of the Board of Orb Group Limited.

Russell Weaver - Manager

Russell has been part of the Kingans Holdings team for almost seven years and is also a shareholder in the Company.  He has extensive experience within the telecommunications industry having previously managed our Rangiora store. He understands the complexities of business having owned his own retail business for 10 years.

Abby Wiliamson - Business Account Manager

Abby has been part of our team for almost seven years also.  Abby worked at the Ashburton store prior to moving to Christchurch and working in our  Business office.  Abby is a foundation Business Accounts Manager of the Canterbury Business Hub.

Aidan Simmons - Business Account Manager

Aidan joined our team as a Business Accounts Manager in July 2011. Prior to this Aidan worked for Telecoms 126 Business group for several years and prior to this was at Canterbury University. 

 

Anne-Marie Prendeville - Sales Support

Anne-Marie has been with our team for 7 months, joining us from Telecoms 126 Business Group.  In addition to the Sales Support function Anne-Marie also undertakes a Telesales function within our team.

Catherine Walker - Sales Support

Catherine has been with our team for four years starting at our Ashburton store. Catherine is a foundation Sales Support team member of the Canterbury Hub

James Chapman - Business Account Manager

James joined our team at our Ashburton store over three years ago. James is also a foundation Business Accounts Manager of the Canterbury Business Hub.

Mike Hines - Business Account Manager

Mike joined our team as a Business Accounts Manager in July 2011. Prior to this Mike worked for Telecoms 126 Business group for several years and before that owned his own retail business. 

Sacha Ponder - Business Account Manager

Sacha has been part of our team for three years.  Sacha joined us from Gen I (Telecoms corporate group) and worked in our Christchurch Business office prior to becoming a foundation Business Accounts Manager at the Canterbury Business Hub. 

Sid Bhogal - Business Account Manager

Sid has been part of our team for three and a half years.  Sid joined us from Telecoms 126 Business group and worked in our Christchurch Business office.  Sid is a foundation Business Accounts Manager of the Canterbury Business Hub.

Tori Burbery - Business Account Manager

Tori joined our team 8 months ago from Telecom's Medium Business Client Management team.  Tori has worked in this team for a number of years and has vast Telecommunications account management experience.
