Formé Skin and Body Spa first opened in Ponsonby and now with spas throughout Auckland the rapidly expanding company needed a more efficient way to communicate between sites.
“We wanted a better way to track stock, appointments and to help us to communicate more efficiently between the spas,” says Formé Skin and Body Spa director Hady Wenham.
So Formé introduced Telecom’s One Office which provides all their branches with secure online access to view and update appointment diaries at each spa location, keep track of stock levels and to send information between spas.
“Now if a client calls one of our spas and we don’t have the time they want, we can easily check if that time is available in another of our spas,” says Hady.
“It means no time is wasted calling around the spas and then having to call the client back with a suggested time and place. We’re also giving our clients better service, which means they’re less tempted to try elsewhere.”
“The same goes for stock, if a client wants a particular product, and the spa they’re at doesn’t have it, we can check if we have it elsewhere and courier it intra-store, or check if it has been ordered.
“Again, now staff don’t waste time on calls or rummaging through the store-rooms to find the product. It’s a better use of our resources.” The centralised system also means Formé has a more accurate picture of stock levels at each branch and can bulk order to keep ahead of demand.
“Telecom is managing our communications which means we can get on with our business.”
Telecom manages the One Office network and provides a free phone number for 24/7 access to a managed help desk.
“When you’re learning something new it’s really helpful to be able to pick up the phone and quickly speak to someone who can assist. The One Office support staff are fantastic,” says Hady.
