Orb Communications, whilst a new brand, has a long established history in Wellington and Lower Hutt.
Orb Communications - The Terrace, formerly trading as Optel Wellington, was founded in July 1990 by our Managing Director, Ted Ward.
In July 2005, Orb Communications - High Street, Lower Hutt was aquired. Situated at 423-425 High Street it was formerly Comtel Limited trading under the Telecom Business Directions brand.
Now with a staff of 19 operating in two locations we have come a long way from the one-man-band working from home fifteen years ago.
We are proud of the fact that many of the relationships we have developed with businesses and individuals are still going strong after many years.
Our stores are part of a nationwide collective of independent dealers which allows each dealer to provide local knowledge within a broad network of information sharing, research and development, and collaboration.
