Orb Communications – Rangiora opened November 2005, Its owners Kingans Holdings Limited have for many years had a store in Ashburton and a Serviced Office in Christchurch.
Kingan’s Holdings Ltd was established in February 1994 by the Kingan Family, opening as a successful Ben Rumble Franchise. With a permanent staff of 3 they began what today has remained locally owned by the Kingans with Directors Deane and Karen Kingan and Brother in law and Sister Andrew & Keriann Saunders, all combined shareholders.
When the Ben Rumble Group was purchased by Telecom in 1999, they were re-branded and became Telecom More Mobile. In July 2005, Kingan’s Holdings Ltd became a founding shareholder of Orb Communications and in October that year opened the Rangiora store.
Now with a staff of 15 operating retail stores in Rangiora and Ashburton and serviced offices with Outbound Business Account Management in Timaru and Christchurch all with local staff, we have Canterbury covered.
The Company has a loyal customer base, many of which have continued to be serviced since the Ashburton store opened in October 85. This trend is maintained with the Rangiora store with many of the first clients returning when needing new phones, advice, etc. We believe that the success to creating these strong partnerships with our clients comes from knowing and understanding our customers needs, having a local knowledge and delivering exceptional service.
Our stores are part of a nationwide collective of independent dealers which allows each dealer to provide local knowledge within a broad network of information sharing, research and development, and collaboration.
