We make a monthly donation to Coastguard Kapiti. The Coastguard is New Zealand’s primary maritime Search and Rescue service. They receive no Government funding and provide such a vital service to our community, we are proud to support them.
We matched the money raised by a group of Kapiti College students in a social studies project to raise awareness of famine in Africa early 2012.
Paddy is on the Board for the Kapiti Chamber, this is a voluntary unpaid Board. The chamber is the voice local businesses in the area and raise awareness of business issues to the local council and government. They also encourage growth in existing businesses and attract new ventures.
We are members of the Porirua Chamber who also are the voice of local businesses in the Porirua region. We’ve supported many of their local initiatives including supplying and manning a water station for the mayoral walk early 2012. We participated in the Business Expo in 2011 with great success and will do so again this year.
We have made donations to support the work the Rotary club do with kids in our catchment area.
